For all of you out there with a "nice" camera this post is for you. I am trying to research cameras- bc this is what I want for Christmas. Please tell me about the camera that u have that takes great/very clear pictures. My camera can never catch the right picture of Grant.

My camera is a Nikon D60. It is great! But the pics from my boise trip were taken with my dad's Nikon D80 - very nice, but VERY expensive. I would recommend the D40X, I hear it is just as good as the D60 but much cheaper. Or if you want to go the Canon route, I'd get the Canon Rebel XTi. Good luck!
I have the Canon 40D and I love it. The Rebel series is great too for a little cheaper. The previous poster mention the Rebel XTi which is a great camera and there is a newer rebel...the XSi. I am a canon girl myself but Nikons are really good too. I wouldn't buy an SLR unless it was one of those two brands. Good Luck!
My camera is a canon rebel XSi and I love it! My dream is to buy a canon 5d, but I don't have $2700 just laying around. When I do you better believe that is the first thing I will buy! Good luck!
Emily just got a really good camera.. I think it is the Rebel, too. You should talk to her. As you can see from her blog that her pictures have gotten a lot better in the past few months.
thanks for all the reposnses. i appreciate the tips!!!! I will let u all know what we decide on.
I just bought the rebel xsi from costco. I had bought the nikon bundle one before and was not totally happy with it so I traded it for the cannon. I think they are both great cameras, but I had a cannon before and am used to it's settings, etc. RayAnne just bought the nikon d40 and loves it. Good luck.
All I know is that is the cutest picture of Grant and the goat!!! Maybe you don't need a new camera.
thanks. it was my dad's really nice camera that took the pics!
nice pic
Yay for the Canon Rebel XSi! We got it at the beginning of the summer because of the cool technical stuff it can do with Mike's microscope at work, but I like it for the "pretty photos." We got the standard lense that comes with it and that does great. I do want a better lens in the future...:) It's wonderful because you can just put it on auto and get great photos or try out the manual settings and pretend to be a professional (that's what I do with my imagination and spare time). Sorry about the long post. I miss you!
