Here is a pic of John and Grant at the Ward Christmas party. John had to conduct the primary kiddies. And then here are the 3 trouble makers playing with Grant's bday present. It was fun watching them play together.

New sandbox...

We bought Grant a sandbox/waterplay area for his birthday. He loved the water play area more than the sand. He kept trying to drink the water and dump it all over himself. It was pretty funny! He didn't really eat much of the cake- even though everyone else did! That was my favorite part of party... he ate like 3 bites off the top and that was it. He was pretty hyper for just a few bites though. Funny!

Today was the special day!

Today was Grant's 1 st bday! I can not believe the day has come and gone. I have thought about this day for some time now- and I am sad that it came so quickly! I have been so busy the last few days preparing and going overboard- of course. I expressed my enthusiasm through my cooking and creativity. I tried to stay on a budget so I made lots of homemade dishes and pulled out my wedding china... that I have never used before. My favorite was the yummy homemade banana cake and frosting that I made. I was surprised at how well it turned out for the first time. I have tons of pics- of course- but I am too tired to upload them tonight! I am off to bed. But I will have pictures tomorrow. I still can not believe that I have a 1 year old! All day I would take little random minutes and thank my heavenly father for the blessings in my life. Especially my adorable little boy! I couldn't help but tear up as I remembered this precious day for me and John.

They have a whole park to play in...

and they are right on top of each other. They could be playing anywhere, but looks like they are attached at the hip :) Pretty funny.... it must be the first child syndrome. Just looking for a little companionship!

Cousin time

Grant and Caydon hang out a lot together because Jenny and I are always trying to find something to do. We both are at the same stage of motherhood- 1 baby- so we can all fit in one car :)

Grant meeting Santa for the first time!

Grant and Caydon met Santa for the first time yesterday! I think they liked him ok. It was very hot in Florida and poor Santa looked like he was sweating pretty bad... I think Grant didn't really mind sititng on his lap. He acted like it was no big deal. Caydon just kept starring at his big white beard.

John's 27th bday!!!

John has been in Gainesville studying hard for finals the last few days. Grant and I have missed having him around :( But today we were sure to see him because it was his Birthday!!!!

Thanksgiving was great

Thanksgiving was so busy! I have been trying to catch up from being tired. The Sunday before I spoke in Sacrament meeting. Then I had a fun filled week with Jenny and the little boys. I cooked an organic turkey for Thanksgiving. It was my Dad's bday. Then John spoke in Sacrament meeting...and then finally today was John's bday. So here are a few pics that I am behind on--- My mom's table is always so beautiful!

Here is Grant and John- one of Grant's favorite things to do is snatch John's glasses. Youn can see how much John likes this game.

And then there is the constant following me around the house... we need to get Grant a dog or adopt a kid or something! Mommy needs some alone time :)

A little tired...

Even when the boys were tired- they were very pleasant :) This is when we need the daddy's to take over!

We are just hanging out while the husbands are studying hard for finals. We miss having them around- especially when the tires are all flat on the strollers and bikes :) But the little stinkers seem to be having a blast. And I am just glad that I have this new camera to capture all the adorable moments!

Jenny had a fun idea for the little boys. We put some flour in a bowl and took it outside to see what the boys would do. Caydon was the smart one and he didn't try to eat it. Grant took some big bites and was not too happy about it....

I'm still trying to figure out my camera- but in the meantime.... We can't resisit fun play-time! I crank up the radio everyday and dance with Grant around the house. He loves it and has become a little dancer himself. I will have to post a video sometime!

New faces...

Here are some of Grant's faces I have never been able to capture before. Pretty funny! He loves crawling out the front door and playing in the dirt. I am getting him a sandbox for his bday- I hope he loves it as much as the dirt :)

New camera....

So we decided on the Canon Rebel XSi. We wanted to get the camera bf Grant's 1st bday and the fun-filled holidays. I am in the process of reading the manual tonight. Of course I couldn't resist a few beginner shots! I can't wait to start taking better photos. Hoepfully, I am a fast learner :)
