The beautiful flowers!

Thanks babe! The flowers are beautiful. John had 100 roses delivered to me this morning- a big surprise! And he wanted me to post a pic so he could check it out... Grant liked them too :) Blogging is a great way to communicate at work!

Happy Anniversary- now I have to come up with something creative for you.

Wedding pics...

Congrats to Bina and Scott too! That was a crazy day! Bina and I had a fun time planning the wedding - she was nice enough to let me share that day with her. Bina put up with my demanding personality and bride-zilla silliness. There aren't very many people that would still like me after planning a wedding with me- so thanks Bina! You have a very big heart- Scott is a lucky guy. I hope you two have a nice anniversary with Ally!
PS. Bina- we look so hot here! No wonder we got married :) I need to go back to being blonde and tan!

3 Years!

Today is our 3rd year Anniversary! Wow- the time sure does fly. Here are a few fun pics from the dating phase. John and I have had a busy three years. John graduated from BYU with a Chinese degree/business minor. We moved to FL where he earned a Master's degree in International Business from University of Fl. Then on to law school at UF. He completed his first year- we had little Grant - and he interned his first summer at a prestigious law firm in S tampa. School, school, school has been the major emphasis in our time being married and it is nice to almost be done. Luckily we have been fortunate to play along the way- travel, see family, and enjoy the friends we have gotten to know. John is a great example to me. He has many outstanding qualities. I figured that out quickly after we met- and I am grateful to have him in my life!

We had so much fun!

If anyone wants to go to the Aquarium= give us a call. We would love to go again!

Grant did not want to leave- as u can tell from the bottom picture- he was begging to stay longer...

More pics

Here he is sitting in a little cracked turtle shell and he looked like my little baby duck! Grant loved looking at all the little yellow fish swimming around in the big fish tank. He kept hitting his head on the glass trying to get in. My two boys in front of the Florida map!

The Florida Aquarium!

We finally had a free Saturday and decided to take advantage of it. We headed down to Channelside and the Florida Aquarium. It was a little on the expensive side, but the water play area made up for it. Grant loved playing in the little fountains. I didn't know there was a water park- or I would have brought him a swim suit and swim shirt- so we improvised. Of course I got soaking wet sitting next to him making sure some other kid didn't run him over.

G and B -

These pics are so cute of Grant and Barrett from Anna Mae's bday party. They had so much fun chillin on the floor. This is when they were both pretty good about staying in one place. Not so much anymore!

Not so happy...

I haven't seen this expression so much. He looks like he loves playing dress up :)

my little squirmer

Our chinese neighbor..

There is a native Chinese grandma living with her daughter and 2 grandsons a few houses over. Lately we have been running into her at the park and on the street. John loves talking with her- she doesn't speak any english. So I ask John to ask her all
sorts of questions for me. Mainly about baby stuff. She loves babies- and loves Grant. She loves holding him and singing little songs to him. Last Sunday I told John that we should just stop by and visit with them. So we headed a few doors down and we visited with their family for awhile. Then last night we heard someone knocking on our door. We have lived here for almost 3 months and have had only one visitor- we didn't know who it could be. It was this sweet grandma - and she had made us a nice dinner and brought it over. She sat on our mat that we have on the floor and just played with Grant. She told me the secret to getting babies to try new things to eat- was add a little honey. I tried to explain the rules in the US- but she pointed at the honey and told me to put it in Grant's rice. Needless to say, I listened and he ate the rice. It is interesting how different the cultures are.

The Park...

There is a park very close to the home we are living in. Grant loves going there and swinging. Every night when John gets home from work- we eat dinner real quick and head to the park. At this time the sun is not so beating hot. The other night I think we got there a little late because Grant fell
asleep as we were swinging him. Pretty funny!

I love this Face!

Grant is 7 months old today! I have been singing him happy bday all morning to get him used to the song...maybe I should go get some cake and ice cream like Kempo and Jenny do with Caydon! He is still my little wiggle worm and squirms all the time. His hair is getting so spikey and tall- someone asked me when I was going to cut it...I am the idiot first time mom that responded "You can cut babies hair?" Wow- sometimes I have to stop and think about how retarded I am :) We are enjoying our little baby- and the things he figures out each new day. His personality is so unique and he is definetly momma's little boy- sorry dady- u just aren't around that much :)

Cousin time in UT!

We had an interesting trip to Utah. It was a lot of fun- but a lot of work because we were the set up crew. With no men around, 3 babies, everyone sick- it took us a whole week to really get the house set up with cribs, and baby stuff, and even adult beds and doors! I forgot how much of a pain it is to do that kind of stuff. On top of it all- we were all pretty much under the weather. John was actually surprised at the small amount of pics I took. I explained to him that we hardly let the house we were all so tired! There were so many more cousins I wanted to see- but I know I didn't want to give others the nasty cold Grant STILL has! I hope our next trip to UT will be more of a success!

My Boyz...

Have fun in Miami Dad! We will miss you here in Tampa...see you on Friday.

Grant and John

Here are a few pics that I thought were cute. This was on the 4th of July- a few days before our UT trip where everyone got sick. I will post some pics for the UT trip- we are still trying to recover a bit. I did not get to see any extended family bc Grant was pretty sick and we changed our ticket to come home early. I hope next time we are out there it is a little bit more enjoyable and we can see more people.

random news for Kaley

So I was looking on the yahoo main page yesterday, and like any other star follower one particular article caught my attention. CHECK OUT THE Jolie-Pitt twins names. Now Brad and Angelina are the some of the biggest trend setters- and this is usually of not much interest to a stay at home mom like myself. But I love hearing unique baby names. I quickly scrolled down the article and Boom!!!! There it was- my favorite baby name- the one I almost named Grant- but didn;t bc it was a little too different for John.... Knox Leon! I came up with the name Knox about 2 years ago and I got some good and bad reviews from people I told. I decided that I could not use it for my firstborn- but was hoping to use it later. Oh well- I guess they beat me to the punch. Now I will just be a movie star copycat if I decide to still use it. We will see...
