Virtual card...

This is my Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays card for the year.
These 2 little guys are the best part of our family! They make the days fun and wonderful. Sometimes the nights long, but not lonely :) They are quite the little pair of mischief makers around the house. If there is ever a quite period longer than 2 minutes I know that I am in trouble! Thanks goodness for mommy instinct :) Garrett is catching up to Grant in size pretty quickly, so Grant can no longer body slam him that easily. If he is not careful, Garrett will run up to him, roll him onto the ground and lay on him laughing. Grant can be stuck for awhile. That is until Mommy comes to the rescue! They love to wrestle. They are the sweetest little stinkers around.
Grant has just turned 4 and Garrett will be turning 2 on Christmas! We love our Grant and Garrett! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Santa has some great things coming our way. Better check back in a week to see!

Things around here

We have been very busy around here. We bought a little puppy for the boys. Her name is Panda and she is a small pug. She is a lot of fun and so cute! The boys love her and I think I may be turning into a dog person :) Garrett jumped out of his crib to play with the pup and fractured his foot. It took him about 2 weeks of limping and he is finally starting to walk normal again. I am happy to have him back to his old self. We have him sleeping in a kids tent on the floor for now. He loves it :) We are staying busy and enjoying the nicer weather. December is my busy month. All 3 boys bdays- so I am gearing up for a long one! It should be fun though!

new blog

I have just started up a new blog. It is more geared towards my own passions and interests, not our family as a whole! I am excited to be branching out a little and do something new. I will keep updating this blog too! We have taken lots of pics lately- they are just all on my phone!!!

grant swimming update

Grant is getting better and better at swimming. We have him signed up for one more month before we take the next few off. I am excited about his progress. He is a little fish. We are putting him in some tumbling classes for the Fall so that should be fun. The boys love going to Open Gym and so we try to go once or twice a week. The funny thing - I love it too!!!

The little muchkins

The kiddies playing outside in Inverness.

Grant and Caydon swimming

I guess the swimming lessons were worth it after all. This was a proud moment for me!

Boys racing...

Of course Bentley won the first time. John won the second time.

lots of sleeping in the car....

Wish I slept like Garrett!

All boys and 1 little princess.

The boys were all loading up to go on the Jeep. Little Cozy saw them getting ready to leave and she started running over and said... Papa don't go without me. It was so cute. We love having a little girl around when we are usually all surrounded by boys!

These kids were so cute on the buggy.

Campbell did a great job of driving our little pony. Grant and Cozy were so happy and content the whole time. Cozy kept telling the horse to go faster- it was so cute! I think Grant almost fell asleep :)

4th of July fun...

I took a lot of pictures this fourth of July thanks to my new Iphone. I love that I carry around my camera where-ever I go. We went up to Inverness for the 4th. We did so many things and had so much fun. We were outside pretty much the whole time. It was great to see everyone. These pictures tell the story!

Bentley at Disney

It was so fun to have Bentley at Disney for a few days. It was great to have another set of hands free to help me out especially! I would always hand off Garrett to my mom or to Bentley. They were awesome helpers. Bentley had a little following at Disney. Whenever he took off his sunglasses he was "spotted" by fans. I was surprised at how popular he was. We were hoping he would use his fame to get us a jump on the dinner reservations, but he would not comply! Shy guy. I think everyone loved the attention but Bentley! It was lots of fun!

Last night's episode....

So last night I was looking forward to finally watching an episode of the bachelorette in a relaxed setting. I knew Bentley was off the show, so it was going to be great to get to see the other guys. Wow...was I surprised. They somehow made Bentley the center of attention AGAIN even after he left the show. Seriously! It is unbelieveable the obsession the ABC producers have with Bentley. I couldn't help but laugh everytime she mentioned Bentley's name. Now I am really starting to feel bad for Ashley and I feel like she is getting thrown under the bus by the ABC producers too. Is is not enough to throw Bentley under the bus, a random contestant... but now ASHLEY too!?!?! She is the bachelorette this season. She is suppose to be the star- not BENTLEY! This is too cruel to watch. You could tell how horribly it was edited and I know if Ashley could tell us the TRUTH (which she cannot- bc she is under contract just like ben) she would argue that they made her look so much more depressed about it than she really was. She and Bentley never even went on a 1 on 1 date during the show. They were only together for about a total of 3 hours- in group settings. That is it! And I guess if she did fall for him in 3 hours, that is probably why he left after 3 episodes. Bentley gave Hollywood a chance and he took off running as fast as his skinny little legs could carry him. Isn't it ironic that Hollywood (ABC producers) are only interested in the one contestant that is not interested in them. I guess people always want what they can't have. ABC could not "make" Bentley stay, so therefore their obsession with him began. Little did he know that he would be the most talked about contestant of the season and the worst villain of all bachelor history. When really he is the only guy that had the courage to stand up against the producers and say "no thanks" I don't want anything to do with your show/scam. I want OUT. At all costs, even if it means making me look bad in the process. Bentley was true to himself at all times. He kept his standards and most Americans do not realize this because they do not know the truth and they never will.

disclaimer : {Kaley's cut- my own thoughts and interpretations of the show}

Don't make fun of my Elmo hat....I don't know what I was thinking. I thought that maybe I would stand out in the crowd at Disney if I had a bright red hat on!!!! I didn't wear it for very long- I promise :) Of course, Grant is happy everywhere we go on this vacation!

Disney vacation

We had so much fun on our disney vacation last week. John was able to take 2 days off work and so we all headed over there on Wednesday. Bentley and Raleigh flew in town for the occasion. We stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort and it had the most amazing pirate ship pool and food court! The pool was so nice that I didn't even want to go to the parks. We ended up going to Magic Kingdom one day and then hit the water parks the 2nd and 3rd day. It was just too hot to be anywhere but the water. The boys had a blast, and I had fun playing monopoly all night with my brothers. I was so tired on this trip, but it was worth it!

Last night's episode....

Last night my whole family got together and had dinner instead of watching the "worst" episode of the Bachelorette season. We all felt pretty good about choosing to abstain. Last week when we watched the 2nd episode it took us all about 3 or 4 days to feel better about the whole thing. I remember watching the "Girl's tell all" from last season and Emily saying that every Monday night she and Brad would get in a fight and every Tuesday morning he would send her flowers. There are so many emotions that you feel as you are watching someone you know or care about. I was so upset about last weeks episode, so I quickly agreed to not watch last nights episode when Bentley asked. I am so glad I did. It is much easier to think objectively about everything when ABC doesn't drag your emotions on a roller coaster. I think I would have been an emotional mess this whole week. I have no anger, disappointment, sadness, frustration, depression -all these feelings that I had last week! I feel like my self discipline paid off. It is almost like the show didn't even happen at all for our family. Just the regular normal stuff going on. It's like all the other addictions you can have in life. One can be addicted to physical things like caffeine, coffee, chocolate, alcohol, coffee, and then there are emotional addictions that we often ignore or don't even recognize. I think that emotional addictions are the hardest to figure out and then the hardest to fix. We all have emotional tendencies- anger, sadness, depression, frustration, resentment, jealousy, revenge, etc. Now I know why reality shows are successful and they make tons of money. People connect to these characters (Bentley- the mean villian and Ashley- the insecure victim) through our own emotional addictions. Then after people watch a show like last night they feel justified in saying horrible and cruel things to people they know nothing about bc ABC just played on their "emotions". Stressful situations have a tendency to pull the worst and best sides out of us. After watching last night's episode were you a victim of ABC's emtional ride? Were you angry? Were you ticked off? Were you sad? I know that if I would have watched- I would have been, but that is only bc I am already dealing with other stressful things in my personal life right now. Maybe it would have been just the right amount of crap to throw me over the edge - and maybe I would start attacking other random people that I know nothing about. This whole process has taught me the most about myself. That I need more self discipline in my own life. That I need to be careful about ALL the words that come out of my mouth, at all times, not just if a camera is rolling (which luckily is never in my case:). Bentley is the example here of how we should NOT be in real life. But the reality is that all of us are guilty of a "Bentley" sometime or other. As Christ said, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone". There surely is no stone in my hand....

Oh and P.S... I think I am going back to watching real TV where the actors get well compensated for their jobs!

thank goodness for reality steve

check out www.realitysteve.com to get a better picture of what abc can do to the contestants. He writes about 3 pages on Bentley...

Bad Boy Bentley

I guess it is about time that I write a post about my little brother Bentley on ABC's Bachelorette. The last two episodes have been very interesting and entertaining. Some of the parts were more painful to watch than others. We had a small clue that he would be "villianized" on this season, but had no idea how bad it would be. Bentley gave us the warning, but watching it was tougher than we expected. Bentley's fate as either being the "good guy" or the "bad guy" was in the producers hands... not good odds. I will say that ABC has made a good run for their money. Bling Bling- best ratings in 8 yrs! Bentley is the Simon Cowell that every reality show needs. Maybe American Idol will give him a call sometime soon. Keep our fingers crossed!

Bottom line- Bentley is not being depicted fairly. But I hope people that are reading my blog already know that one.... common sense. And if you are taking him too seriously- try not to...he is nothing like that in "reality"!

I will say that John and I are having the best Monday night laugh sessions ever. I agree with the thousands of tweets saying "Bentley's lines are so good that he must be a professional actor". And this is my first time using twitter so thanks ABC for helping me be more computer savy.

BTW- check out http://bentleywilliamsapologists.wordpress.com for another side of Bentley.

easter

There is always tons of food and activities. I kept loosing Grant and now I know why... he took off and John must have taken these of pictures of him eating soda and food. He never gets soda at home so now I know why he went missing!

more pics...

Garrett was way more interested in the balloon decorated trailor than the eggs. The trailer ride comes after the Easter egg hunt- where we go to do the egg toss. It's all very eggciting!!!!

Grammy's Easter Bash!

Let the cousin power begin...along with all of the eggcitement!!!! We had a great time at Grammy's Annual Easter Party. So fun to see extended relatives and hang out at Grammy's house for the day! The boys had so much fun...lots of treats!
