Warm weather baby carrier

I am always searching the web for cool new baby products. What do all you cold weather momma's think about this one?
The Peekaru Original is a fleece vest that zips over a soft baby carrier to keep you and your child warm. It fits comfortably over all carriers, including Baby Bjorns, Hotslings, Ergos, Mei Tais, and Wraps. Made from 85% recycled fleece.
I think it looks cute and comfy... but too warm for Florida weather :)

Happy anniversary... yesterday!

Yesterday was our 4 year anniversary! We actually remembered ahead of time and planned to go out to dinner. John sent me a beautiful vase of red roses and we had a nice evening planned with no toddler on board!. I love Japanese steakhouses and so we headed out for some good food and relaxation. They sang us a very nice Happy anniversary song and we had to wear these cool hats. I was trying to look like grant in this picture and I wasn't really planning on making it public. Of course this is one of the only pics we took...way to go!
We have had a busy 4 years- I can't believe times goes by so quickly. It has been fun! One day we will be a settled normal family living a normal life. Until then... our plans to keep moving every 6 months are still a reality! At least we are living an adventure! Our days of being poor students are not too much longer. We must treasure this last year :)

my tired stinker face....

He is always fighting back the sleep. This is what I get to look at every day :)

Visiting Grammy...

Grant and I went up to Kissimmee for a few days to visit my grandmother. Grammy let him swim in the fountain, which is something I did all growing up. I remember swimming the summers away in the fountain. It was cute to see Grant doing the same thing with Grammy's help.

More pics...

The boys had fun playing in the sand more than the water. They were so tired by the end it was meltdown city. We stopped by a little hamburger joint to grab some dinner and the boys chowed down.

The beach with Kempo and Jenny...

We headed over to Honeymoon Island one Saturday afternoon with Kempton, Jenny, and Caydon. We took a ferry over to the Island which the boys loved. That was probably my favorite part too.

Grant at the zoo...

John and Grant have a little tradition of going to the zoo together every Saturday. They have had some fun times. Grant especially loves the water play area. There have been a few bumps and bruises along the way, but it has been quality Dad/son playtime. Grant doesn't see John much during the week, so Saturdays are days he looks forward to! Dad is so much more fun tham pregnant mom :)

It's not a girl!

Sorry everyone we were wrong...it's a boy. We are very excited - especially for Grant. I am glad that we found out either way. I just hope it is right this time. This news will save me a lot of money :)

It's a GIRL....well 95 % :)

So I went in for a ultrasound a few days ago and the tech went ahead and checked for the gender. It is still a little early, but he said he was 95 % it was a girl! I am going back in a week to check again, so we will see. I remember finding out at 16 weeks with Grant, but I know girls are harder to see. "She" was very calm and had her legs crossed the whole time. Plus the umbilical cord was very close to the gender parts. Anyway...it is fun to think about for a little while. I am just glad I got to see my baby for the first time. It seems real now. At least I am not still suffering for nothing!

Don't worry- I haven't bought any pink yet... and those of you that know me well must be surprised!

After the festivities...

This is what happens after...WAKE UP GRANT! He is sleeping the days away now!!

Grant swimming...

Grant loves swimming. He is wild in the water just like everywhere else. Here he is cracking up at John doing something funny in the water! He loves his daddy :)

Sorry about the little mermaid swimmer diaper- he would be a cute little girl :)

watching fireworks...

Grant's reaction to the fireworks was priceless! Caydon looked about the same. It was hilarious :)

more fun pics...

Justin was a good sport. He came ready to have lots of fun on the property with the animals. Here we are with one herd of goats and our pink donkey Lucy. Of course we had lots of mule rides even though it was like 100 degrees outside. He kept saying "it's not that hot"...I was like WHAT!! I was sweating in like 5 minutes every time!

4th of July fun....

We headed up to Inverness for the 4th of July parade and festivities. This would be Grant's first year seeing fireworks, so we were excited! He was so tired by the end of the night...but it was worth it. Also, John's friend Justin from Michigan flew down to hang out with us- and that was really fun too! He was great with the kiddos! Caydon and Grant had the usual tug of war interractions...along with lots of hugs and kisses from Caydon's end. Grant still needs to work on being a little more affectionate :) Barrett stayed on Brian's lap the whole night and was smart to keep his distance from the 2 troubles...
