We are under contract....

It's official! We are under contract to buy our first house. We are suppose to close this Friday! That may be pushed back a few days, but we will see. I don't want to put too many details on my public blog... but here are a few. It is north of John's work about 25 minutes. About 25 minutes from the beach! 3400 sq ft- 5 bed/3 bath. Two story. Built in 2006. Has a lake view. Great kitchen! Blah, Blah, Blah... we are very excited :) We will post a few pictures eventually. It has been very busy getting all the details together. Tons of paperwork and boring stuff, but when it is all done it will be worth it. The best part about the location is that it is right around the corner from my sis in law! We both have 2 boys the same age and it is going to be so much fun... thank goodness she has a pool:) And there is a very nice chinese family that lives nearby that we adore. The grandma loves babies and taking care of kids. She only speaks Mandrin- no english. That should be interesting when she comes over to visit! Wish us luck- we hope to be homeowners very soon. Then the Wirthlins can start coming to Florida to visit!

Maybe for Christmas....

I already know what I want for Christmas this year. I actually would like one of these right now, but it does not fit in our budget for the summer... the "John is not working yet" budget. Even though he is graduating from law school and has a job lined up, it does not start until August. No money honey- for a few more months. As a result, this little baby will have to wait until Christmas.

My mom has one of these in yellow and I use it all the time. It is so fun and comfortable. I could seriously bike forever (hmm- something like that). I want this blue one so bad! I would really appreciate if all of John's friends and family would call him around Novemberish and tell him that he needs to get me one of these babies for Christmas. Come on, I did have a "real" baby last Christmas(sympathy please!)
Maybe that is how I burn off all those extra calories from Haagen Dazs ice-cream...

Haagan-Dazs mini cups...

I have both boys in their cribs tucked away. One is asleep and the other is crying his little lungs out. I give Garrett about 20 minutes to cry it out for afternoon naps. So here is my 20 minute break! What to do...

In the old days I would go for a run or even a bike ride for great alone time. I love working out and playing sports, so I try to do that as much as possible. These days it is a little tougher for me to get out- especially with 2 kids! As a result, instead of a great workout I resort to yummy treats! My yummy treats catergory includes: homemade cookies, my favorite candy bars, and of course, chocolate Haagan Dazs! I am a sucker for the new mini cartons of ice-cream. I know it is a rip-off, but there is such pleasure in sitting down and eating one of these little cartons! I just love them and need to find a way to get "unhooked"! Bina needs to come and rescue me from my unhealthy indulgence :)

I must admit that I actually consider these healthy because there are only 5 ingredients... go figure. I just have to make sure I don't turn into a frumpy, chubby, stay at home mom....

Grant learning how to load dirt....

Grant is one lucky boy! He gets to ride all sorts of equipment up here in Inverness. He just loves it and Papa is by far his favorite person. If he sees Papa he takes off running! Now, whenever we pass any construction on the side of the road he yells "PAPA"! He thinks Papa owns every loader, tractor, dump truck, etc... The funny thing is that I have learned so much more about construction because of Grant. He has taught me a lot more about trucks than I ever cared to know :)
